SEATY Code PAC064 The project proposes a system for the expansion of the neighboring cities to the water which works with or withour water. Each element is singly furnished of an afloat base and therefore it is movable and assemblable according to different urban schemes, within which it is easy changing its position The project proposes an ideal settlement system for the expansion of the neighboring cities to the sea and/or with rivers estuaries, lakes, etc., but also for contexts not necessarily urban. Such system can works with or without water, since all the elements, housing and infrastructurals, have the possibility to float or to be placed on the flattened soil prepared to sustain theyr weight. The connections with the dry land are guaranteed by an elastic system of gangways. Roads, " squares ", public buildings, residences, and even the trees, are singly furnished of an afloat base and therefore they are movable and assemblable in different ways. This allows to have a lot of possibilities of urban design: chessboard, centripetal, linear, more complex or more attenuate, occasional, etc. Also the single family can easily move, with the whole house, into other positions. Each base, whichever use it'll have, has a correspondent open space on the backdrop which is the reflected image of it. Generally it is advisable to follow the curves of level of the backdrop, so to facilitate, in the case of water absence, the horizontal setup of the bases. We propose a possible aggregation for a district of five hectares, with roads, intersections, squares, greenery, etc drawn near an area of an imaginary city. In reality, according to real case, the more pertinent urban form can be hypothesized. The house type has a plant of 10 x 5 meters and a loft. It is appropiate for singles or couples. While it is connected to another module, it welcomes larger families. Such residences have a vertical prospectus on the top of a small garden, while the back goes down to quota 0 with a slight curve. They can be assembled with the garden towards the road, and on the contrary, towards the sea, also they enliven up the urban perspective. Every residence has a parking place beside. The project, offers in conclusion a " light" system , open, and it garantees good accessibility and movement, relatively simple and modulabile, not expensive, environment friendly and perfect for the realization of many and different urban panoramas which expresses a new way of life between earth and sea.
